What's actually in it
Mushroom Coffee is a blend of instant coffee with four types of mushrooms, reishi, chaga, lion’s mane and shiitake, alongside maca root and ashwagandha extract. Each 5 g daily serving (one scoop, mixed into 150 ml of warm water) delivers 1750 mg of instant coffee, including 49 mg of caffeine, 400 mg reishi, 400 mg chaga, 150 mg lion’s mane extract, 100 mg shiitake extract, 100 mg maca and 100 mg ashwagandha extract. The formulation is vegan, contains no added sugar, and each 150 g pack covers 30 servings.
The idea isn’t to strip caffeine out of coffee. It’s to build something around it: a blend that helps the body deal with stress, supports mental and physical wellbeing, and helps maintain energy levels and emotional balance, alongside the coffee ritual people already have. It can be taken as is, or with milk or a plant-based drink, depending on preference.
Why now
Functional coffee alternatives are one of the fastest-moving corners of the beverage aisle right now. Retailers are starting to make room on shelf for mushroom and adaptogen blends, and more brands are choosing to reformulate existing coffee lines rather than launch an entirely new category from scratch.
